A little boutique gift store found itself opening to the public in the heart of Green Point and from being in there on numerous occasions I can tell you it’s different in a good way. A mix of earthy, fresh and fun under one tiny roof. There’s so many things to see!
I love that they’ve added a mix of clothing, jewellery and odds and ends like scented candles, art pieces beautiful hands bags. The clothing isn’t expensive at all and is a suitable choice for tourists who would like to take home something from the South African market that might not necessarily be a designer item. Soft, durable fabrics paired with young, alternative jewellery and just like that you have the perfect gift to take home.
About the Jewellery…
It’s stunning! The rings are naturally priced according to its cut and style and the best part is that none of these things are expensive at all. The necklaces are really girly and dainty and it’s both classic and modern so any age will find it beautiful. These are as affordable as buying something from any of our departmental stores except it looks like something from Pintrest. As an avid shopper I can tell you that is not always easy to find the kind of items that you see in magazines on celebs and models because the market is honestly not always big enough, but Mash had proven to be fearless in providing identical items at an affordable rate.
The ladies in the store are as sincere on the last day you go in there as they are on the first. Friendly and very helpful and that’s the kind of service that makes you feel happy to purchase like crazy. There’s nothing like good service in a store like this to make you want to keep going back if only to check up on what’s new.
If you find yourself looking at the art pieces you could use in your home, you could easily become mesmerised by the way the display is done to give you examples of furniture placement. For first time decorators this could be the ideas you’re looking for and for the purpose of giving a gift, you could earn some major brownie points.
Do make your way into this quaint little store and be sure to do so by Christmas. We’ve been out and about and have found a couple of gems – Diva Jeans and Jo Carlin.
