I don’t know about you, but I’ve already started working on my Black Friday Specials Wish List.

I know there are a lot of people who don’t love the concept, but when budgets are tight and Christmas is coming up, it makes sense to snag a couple of the things that you have your eye on (especially if you would have been happy to pay full price for them).

And then, bonus, because you’ve saved a decent amount on things you would have bought anyway, you can afford to splurge on a couple of those ‘nice-to-haves’!

Black Friday Prep

For me, Black Friday is a great time to stock up on make-up and skin care, a few new homeware items and presents for family. But, I tend to get overwhelmed if I don’t keep a list of the things I want.

So, here’s how I get organized:

  1. Browse sites like Superbalist to get an idea of what you want, you could even put a couple of things in your cart to get ahead of the game
  2. Make a note in your calendar about when the Black Friday specials will go live (and set an alarm if it’s going to be at midnight)
  3. Stay away from physical retailers at all costs. It’s bad for your sanity, and you’re going to struggle to make good purchasing decisions with thousands of people around you.
  4. Make sure you choose a site that offers easy returns because in the rush of snagging a great deal, you could easily make a mistake (like adding 10 of the same thing to your cart instead of 2 – ask me, I know!)

My Experience of Black Friday Deals on Superbalist

For the past year or so we’ve been furnishing a new home and, while it has been a creative and deeply satisfying project, it’s also been hard on the wallet.

Last year, my husband and I made a list of everything we needed, then hit Superbalist as the Black Friday promo went live. Because we were shopping for our home, we focused on the Home and Living section of the site, and had some great wins.

I just had a quick look through our orders to tally up the savings, on the first order it was 33%, and on the second it was 31%. There were quite a few big-ticket items and many items that you don’t usually get a big discount on, so the savings really added up for us.

There were also a couple of cute items that we got for the children both in the clothing and the homeware sections.

I hope that helps, Happy Black Friday Shopping!
