Cape Town’s Festival of Beer at Hamilton’s Rugby Club

Green Point

29 November  – 1 December 2019

10th Anniversary Celebration

Now in its tenth year, the 2019 FoB promises to be an anniversary event to herald the start of Summer in style. We attended last year’s shenanigans, and if that party was anything to go by, we highly recommend that you get your friends and family together and come sample some of the finest brews, chill out to great music, let your kids enjoy their bespoke entertainment and soak up the summer vibes.

Incredible Showcase of Local Brews

Did you know that the Cape Town Festival of Beer hosts the largest selection of commercially available beer in the southern hemisphere? That means more varieties of golden deliciousness, that you can actually take home with you, than anywhere this side of the equator! And have no fear, if beer is not your thing there are always delectable berry ales and charming ciders to suit every palate. Some of the best acts will include CBC, Old Potters Inn, Saggy Stone, Ukhamba Beerworx, Drifter, Jack Black and Darling Breweries. One of my favourite ciders, the @loxtonia_cider #orchardtobottle, will also be making an appearance.

Let’s not forget the food… There will be no less than 15 pop-up restaurants and food trucks, including some of the well-known Cape Town favourites with their mouth-watering artisanal offerings. And the tunes? What would a Summer celebration be without a bit of tekkie squeaking? Thanks to Me and Mr Green we won’t be in short supply of great music.
We hope to see you there! Tickets are on sale at at R150 per person. You can follow the build-up on Twitter or Insta with the handle @festofbeer and #CTFOB19
