Darling Cellars Arum Fields Chenin Blanc 2017
True to Nature
At Darling Cellars it all starts in the vineyard. The “unirrigated”, very old bushvines produce fewer bunches with smaller berries than trellised vines. Our cool West Coast wines are made to be enjoyed with a wide selection of foods, and will undoubtedly bring people together.
Excellent value for money, easy drinking and big on taste. Serve chilled with fresh West Coast oysters or creamy mussels. This wine will compliment seafood dishes as well as a crisp salad. Drink now or within the next two years
The wine was left on the lees for 3 months to add complexity and is well balanced with great structure and a good mid palate with guava flavours following through on the taste and a well-rounded finish. Residual sugar 2.57g/l; alc 13,18
This is the go-to-wine for a person (18 -80 years) who loves the good things in life, enjoys good food wine and treasure special memories.
Vinification details: Crush and destalk, 14 days fermentation at 13°C. Grapes and juice handled reductively to prevent oxidation. The wine was left on the lees for 3 months to add complexity.
