Fairview Nurok 2016
Paarl, Western Cape
A true labour of love, this Old World blend of Chenin, Viognier, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne tells the stirring story of bravery and loyalty among Di (née Nurok) Back's ancestors in adversity. Inspired by revered Old World blends, this wine is complete, wholesome and complex, invigorating, and totally versatile - ideal for fine dining.
It goes really well with Asian-inspired dishes or creamy pasta dish with salmon and capers.
The top white wine from Fairview! Each component used in the blend adds an individual touch to the final wine, without any grape dominating.
Residual sugar 2.8 g/l
Total acid 6.3 g/l
Pale yellow colour in the glass with notes of orange peel, peach and melon. The palate is complex with subtle oak followed by intense flavours of citrus and melon. The structure of the wine promises aging potential and contributes to the length and mouth feel, which is elegant and fresh.
Anyone who loves wine. Easy drinking white wine!
The label on the bottle was one of Charles Back's wife, Diana paintings.

Cape Town Insiders’ Review Of The Wine
The Nurok is one of Fairview’s flagship offering and it’s not often that I come across such an elegant white blend. Each varietal in this Old World blend of Chenin, Viognier, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne complements the others to produce a well-rounded wine that is an absolute treat and really should be savoured rather than pairing it with food!
