We’re not wine experts and we’re most definitely not wine snobs. But we know what we like – and we’re happy to share our opinions with you, for what it’s worth. Most weekends we like to head out of the city and you’ll probably find us exploring a new wine route, relaxing at one of our favourite wine farms, taking time out at one of Cape Town’s many wine festivals or enjoying a lunch paired with estate wines at a winery restaurant.
WE'RE NOT WINE SNOBS!
We’ve tasted quite a lot of wine around the world, but Cape Town’s offering is by far our favourite. Firstly, one thing about wine tasting in the winelands around Cape Town is that the setting is usually spectacular. Secondly, there is usually quite a large range of wine and there’s usually something to suit every palate. Thirdly, the wine farms are very accessible with many farms within a 30 minute drive of Cape Town itself.
And lastly, the wine tasting and the wines themselves are very affordable in international terms and it’s easy to have a day out that doesn’t cost a lot of money but gets you out into the countryside with friends and family.
If you’d like to know more about a specific wine farm or wine, please get in touch with us. If we’re able to, we will gladly get back to you with the information that you are looking for. If we’ve made any mistakes with the details of particular wines, we’d also love to hear from you – we’re always trying to up our wine knowledge.
