Roan Ranger

Cape Town Insider’s Review

We loved this Rhone-inspired Cinsaut, Grenache and Mourvedre blend. It’s elegant and smooth with beautiful soft red fruit notes which makes it a perfect red for warmer days. We served the wine slightly chilled (popping it in the fridge for an hour or so before drinking). this wine is easy drinking and we chose to serve it to guests before a meal in honour of the interesting varietal blend that it offers. At under R100 per bottle it offers exceptional value (and we loved the branding).

Buy this wine for the mystique of a blend, the joy of something different and the desire for a really good glass of wine.
I is different; not . . . intended for the “more of the same” wine drinkers. Absolutely at its best served slightly chilled in summer.

The Roan Ranger is made of Cinsaut, Grenache and Mouvedre.
Medium bodied, gently wooded with the Cinsaut adding the soft suppleness to the wine.

Well bred, well read, good taste and good sense of humour

First released in 2013 the Roan Ranger wine has really begun to carve a niche! This blend of three classic Rhône varieties of “Cinsaut- Grenache-Mouvèdre” is delightfully different with a smoothness and elegance that only good fruit and caring winemaking can provide.
