If you’re anything like me, Valentine’s Day comes as a bit of a surprise every year. And, while I don’t like to buy into the crazy commercialism of the day (thanks for nothing America), I really do like the reminder to make an effort for my someone special.
So, rather than big cheesy gestures, I like to use the day as an opportunity to reconnect after the craziness of January with all of its stresses both on the home and work front. For me, Valentines Day gifts could be something simple like a gift bag with his (or her) favourite treats, a perfume they’ve had their eye on for a while, or a spoil for their self-care routines.
